Driver door lock will unlock but not LOCK?? Sucks because I have to do it manually so the door is locked. :mad

I had this problem on my 99 coupe. It would click but wouldnt lock, like the lever was sticking. I never fixed it, and traded the car in. You might try taking the panel off and cleaning the lever of debri if any is there. Might also try some WD-40. GL :seeya

I had a problem where my drivers side door would sometimes lock and sometimes would not. I was told by the dealership that chevy has had problems with the door actuator. Once they replaced that I never had another problem. Hope this helps.

Bad lock solenoid, very common. I've replaced one on my 97 Camaro, all four on my 00 K3500, sofar the 01 coupe is fine. Used to see this daly when I work for a :chevy store.
