Cruise Control problem 98 coupe
I am a new forum member and first time vette owner. I have a cruise control issue maybe someone has experience with. I can set the cruise in 4th, 5th or 6th(sometimes), but if i set it once, it wont resume or set again until sometime later. later could be after shut down for more than 30 minutes. Does it sound like a bad cc unit or electrical or ??????? thanks.

I have a 98 A4 and my car had a similar issue. If it happens again take your foot and pull back on the brake pedal a little. That cured the problem in my car you might have a bad brake light switch that is not turning off when you release your brakes.

The cruise cutout switch is next to the brake switch under the brake pedal and is adjustable. Mine cruise would disengage unexpectedly and I found the switch to be adusted too close to the brake. You disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the switch so that the plunger is further away from the brake pedal.
