Default C5 T56 in a C6

Hello everyone,

My friend messed up his trans in his 05 c6

Can a T56 from a 04' C5 used as a direct replacement for the one in 05'?

Yes, it can be installed from an 04 to an 05 BUT you will need to swap the rear housing from the c6 trans to the c5 trans. This will also require you to reshim the extension shaft.

Thank you very much!

But they are both using the same output shaft right?

Just seen this now. Yes, they both use a 27 spline main shaft.
