where is ignition switch on
I want to replace the ignition switch to hopefully correct a lighting problem and wanted to know where it was located and what it looks like. Its a 98 automatic in case that makes a difference. Thanks for any help.

I don't mean to be a smart butt but if you don't know where it is or what it looks like, I wouldn't even think about replacing it yourself.

When I called the dealer to order the switch, I was told it was separate from the cylinder (you know where the KEY goes) and that it would either be located by the shifter or in the steering column. :bs
