Default Isues with kooks headers

I recently put a set of Kooks headers and catted x pipe in my 04 hoping to get rid of P0410, P0420, and P0430. I know this wouldn't directly take care of 410 but while i had things appart i cleaned out the air check valves and lines.

My first issue is that Kooks sent me two sets of exhaust gaskets, one set of metal GM gaskets and one set of thicker soft ones. I tried to call them when I was doing the install to get a recomendation on which set to use and they aparently don't believe in answering their phones. Well thats not entirely true, they answered their phone when I wanted to spend nearly 2 grand. Its in now with the metal gaskets so I suppose I don't so much care about this issue any more beyone shaking my fist ak Kooks a bit.

My secon issue is that the firts time I got the engine up around 5500 RPM I got both P0420, and P0430 which tells me that the brand new cats aren't working and again Kooks won't respond to email or phone.

Long story short I was hoping someone here might have some insight into whats going in with my car.

Thank you.

I agree, get a tune. Also, I have to say when I dealt with them, after ordering their parts from a crooked *** vendor who didn't deliver, they were excellent.

Thanks, I'm glad to hear people had good experiences with them. I'm also happy that I guessed correctly with the header gaskets I knee that metal was the way to go for heads and got lucky.

If I should be looking into a tune, does anyone know of a good shop in the DC area?
