Default DRL's Off When Headlights On?
Is it normal operation for the drl's to go off when the headlights go on?

The front OEM bulbs used for DRLs have two filaments:
  • One for the DRL/Turn Signal
  • One for the Parking Light
When the headlights are switched on, the DRLs go off and the Parking Lights go on. So to answer your question: the bulb remains lit, but using a different filament.

If yours go completely dark, it could be that the Parking Light filament is burnt.

Thanks for the information. I thought my multifunction switch was going. Have drls when lights off. But dim when parking light or headlights go on. Looks like they're operating normally.
