Default TPMS and drag radials

Will I run into problems with the tire pressure monitoring sensors/reduced power when I deflate my drag radials at the track? Is deleting the monitors from the rear tires and just leaving the front 2 an option? My drag radials are on the way and I want to verify before I have them mounted. Thanks!

It'll be no problem....you might get the occasional TPS system failure or service TPS system notice but it'll cause no issues ... I usually change all 4 tires and run skinnies on the front, no TPS at all...

Thanks for the replies. Just to clarify, I can completely remove the sensors from the rear tires and not have any issues?

I run Conti slicks at the track (hpde) and my cold pressures start around 24psi in the morning. typically the dash light is on until they come up to temp but no loss of power, etc.

Have fun!

The messages disappear when you hit the reset button and won't show up again until you do another engine start. Ran both of my C5s on track for 12 years and never had sensors in the track wheels. Just hit the reset button as I backed out of the garage.
