That is excellent news. After your last report, I was certain it was in the tune. The air flow thing simply proved it. BTW, I think I asked but don't remember if you answered. What size tires and rims are those on the rear wheels? Your setup and mine are pretty similar and I'm always looking for more traction. Really glad you got the monster going. Keep us updated.

First of all, Shortuning is an excellent tuner.
Always blame the tuner, right?
Second, this is the pitfall of mail order send your PCM off tuning.
The tuner writes the ECU but has no way of testing it.

If you would have purchased the tuning software your tuner uses, so the tuner could simply send you tunes, it would have paid for itself easily. And maybe along the way you would have learned a bit about tuning.

Corrupt files are not all that unusual, **** happens.

first of all, I don’t care what you think and I haven’t explained the real details of my experience. People can take it how they want and I’m gonna give my two cents bc this is my car and my money I work for to **** away on car stuff. I’ve kept it pretty cut and dry besides the issues of my car. I spent almost a grand in stuff trying to chase issues that were never there. If I pay for a mail order tune then the tuner should do it and not adjust someone else’s tune, then get charged again when I hauled the car down. I won’t go back, for the money I have in my setup I don’t deal with people like that.

start your own thread if you don’t like it.

And to mention my wiring harness looks like crap from where it’s stripped apart thinking I had wiring issues when it wasn’t that bc the tuner blamed my car. You have no clue what I’ve been through the last two months dealing with his crap. And other people on here were right the whole time.

Seems like the TUNE fixed it......

This is the problem with a lot of tuners that get big....suddenly the small stuff isn't a priority to them and they get lazy.
This also brings out the "weekend tuners" that have been lurking around and figure that since they removed an engine code once or twice that that know how to tune..

A lot of people PAY professionals that TUNE for a living. Not on a trial and error basis, and when we do, its expected to be correct.

Spending hundreds of dollars to chase a problem that isn't even there is def something to complain about and i feel the OP is warranted in not wanting to continue business with "said" tuner.

That car is gonna hurt some feelings next year.....go easy on us local guys

Ok, well I'm a tuner. And a C5 owner.
Your point was that after letting Shortuning "get his hands on it" it was figured out.
Rather quickly.

Which was my point sir, hands on is way better than sending you PCM off in the mail.
My apologies if you misinterpreted my post.

If I lived close to you I'd have come over and figured this out.

Understood that you suggest i purchase tuning software to make the tuners job easier.

And if you misunderstood my simple point, its that short FUCKED IT UP IN THE FIRST PLACE

The write of the PCM screwed up. As I said, it happens. Has happened to us at the shop on the Dodges I used to tune.
It's not infallible.
Unique? Yes.
But it happens.

Hands on works.

When you get into high HP setups like this, and I love the OP's setup, it is just good to understand the tuning, I'm always in favor of the owner to learn the system and issues in tuning.
Unless you want to be married to your tuner.

That makes sense

I watched a buddy get screwed by engine builder for 14 months

Our local long time friend who is also our normal tuner is Mia.
So we went with the next best reccomeded fella and it took 3 months to get the base tune for the car to run.

Sorry for the lack of understanding we just can't see through the anger of the situation.

I'm very interested to know how you were able to delete the abs.

Obviously you can just remove all the compoents etc, but my understanding is that you can't tune it out so I assume you have flashing warnings on the DIC for abs, ah, tcs faults now?
