Default Nose repair

Let the repairs begin. Due to an incedent where a young lady was force into my lane and into me. The the guy ran before we could get a plate number and we were very busy not hitting anyone else or someone else hitting us.
Plan on using plastic putty and repainting the shell. Rebuilding the tabs for the spot and turn sig light housings. Will replace the headlight cover.
Any tips on this will be loved and considered. I've done quite a bit of motorcycle fairing repairs for tabs and scrapes and painting on motorcycles but not on cars.

You Tube and these Forums have been so valuble to my learing how to work on my 03 Coupe and before that , my '95 Coupe.

Sorry to hear about the accident. Hopefully it will be repaired with no issues. I had a similar accident to one of our other cars. Since then, I put dash cams in each car.

As the job progresses and I keep learning.
Got all set up on my fastly assembled work bench. ;-)

Did order new light sockets for the DRL along with LED bulbs and resistors. Found the OEM.s to be in pretty bad shape.
Did get the broken tab repaired enuff to work even though it's not pretty.

And have epoxy on the crack and blimish on the nose section.

Today. some sanding and see where we are at.

Slowly but surely coming along. If it would not be so darn hot in the afternoons, I'd be more excited about working on it. But, kinda waiting on the replacement headlight cover to come in so I can do the finale painting at one time.

Nose ready for a totally sanding and finale priming.

And Received the new sockets for the Daytime/ Signal lights. Was gonna go LED but changed my mind .

Tomorrow, hopefully finale sanding and finale Prime finish coat.

Well, my car is back on the floor and ready for the road. All I had left to do yesterday morning was put the spoiler's back on.

Been an experience that I really enjoyed. Far from a perfect job and Still some finish work to do on the paint work with fine wet sanding and compounds , but, that can come later.

Repaired cracks and damage, then overall sanding and cleaning, then a couple coats of primer, fine wet sanding, cleaning , 2 coats of Base , a fine sanding and then a coat of clear. Wrong move on the fine sanding and clear as you could see the sanding marks.
So , another coat of base, then 2 coats of clear.
Still needs to be worked on and not quite a perfect match. I'll be going over it with some super fine wet sanding and then compounds and polish.
totally used one pint of base.
