Another option is to add an octane enhancer, like toluene or xylenes. Usually sold by the gallon in paint stores. DON'T get it on your paint.

I use toluene on the paint quite often to remove cone marks; never been an issue for me. Maybe it's the 40 coats of Zaino? Then again, toluene is used as a thinner for oil-based paints and has a 45 deg F vapor flash point; incidental contact with todays automotive finishes should be insignificant. Commercial grade toluene like you buy at the paint store usually contains high amounts of benzene, which is easily absorbed through your skin or inhaled as a vapor, as is toluene, both of which are rather toxic chemicals if they get in your body.

I'd be more concerned about getting it on yourself rather than your Corvette. Same thing applies to high octane unleaded gasoline, which often has a high content of these hydrocarbon solvents. Always wear protective gloves at a minimum when handling this stuff, seriously consider a respirator fitted with the proper hydrocarbon scrubber filters if contact with vapors is unavoidable, otherwise consider yourself an honorary member of the Huffer's Society; i.e this is your brain, this is your brain on hydrocarbon solvents - sizzle, sizzle! :smash:

40 coats of Zaino + Toluene = NO MORE ZAINO
Try WD-40 :)

wow, it sure shines and cleans like Zaino

besides, if that's the case it was probably already removed by the MEK solvent that I used to use
