Installed Z06 Sway Bars Last Night
Haven't had much time to "check things out", but initial driving last night was.... WOW, what a difference ! ! We have a road trip this weekend http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=396887, which should really check out the stiffness, but some quick cornering last night shows that this was a great addition.
Got mine from Ken Fitchner and took 5 days to get to their new home ($233 with bushings and alum. end links). They go in when the gear box and TC get swapped in 13 days (and counting). The diameter difference between the base susp. bars and the ZO6's are incredible!!!
Re: Installed Z06 Sway Bars Last Night (sweetcharity)
I got mine from Corvette Clinic in San Jose California. $300.00 stock in hand put them on the same hour. Was very easy install used torx bit on 3/8 air rachet to power drive out the old connecting rods worked really good.
What diameter are the front and rear sway bars? I have stock 7/8" diameter front and 3/4" diameter rear. Am looking to change out but want to compare Hotchskis with T1 with Z06.
I'm waiting on a parts inquiry response on the end link part numbers so that I can get a price. Please verify these numbers before you order as I'm only posting what they sent me.

Do they also sell the rubber grommets and end links too? You will need the new grommets to make those bars work.
I too installed the Z06 sway bar set (bought from Ken Fichtner for $234) on my 99 FE45 coupe and what a HUGE difference. The car is supple when traveling in a straight line but corners FLAT. A great set up for less than $250 installed/shipped. I painted the rear bar Candy Apple Red and applied several coats of Zaino before installing. With my Corsa Indy's with Pro Tip's and polished/rolled exhaust plate and that HUGE RED sway bar the rear view is awesum.
What's nice is if you feel you need more control you can buy a set of shocks for $275 and your all set for world class handling for about $500. I prefer the base shocks set up that's me.
Re: Installed Z06 Sway Bars Last Night (vetterdstr)
GMPartsDirect provided me with this part number when I asked for the 2002 Z06 front stabilizer bar end links:
10423035 link
I guess the right and left are the same part number so I'll have to order 2? Would those be aluminum or steel? My '97 end links are plastic!
Forgot about the rubber bushings. I wonder if I can use the ones I had on my Mallett front autocross bar (which I broke during a slight mishap where I jumped the median  - hence my need for a new bar).
I've been driving around with NO front swaybar for a few months now. I was going to temporarily put the stock one back on, but I also broke one of the plastic end links. The car still handles really good, but then again, it has fairly new S03 Pole Position (non-runflat) tires on, and I have been taking it somewhat easy knowing there's no front bar. That probably goes to show that the car can handle much more than I push it normally, but it's still exhilerating enough for me :D :D
