C5 passenger power seat not working
Ok. We have all been there and done that. Took out 2003 C5 sport lumbar power seats, recovered them, took out seat belt retractor assemblies to clean the belts and re-install, put seats back in and boom....the passenger power seat does NOTHING! Everything went well (minus some skin on my knuckles) but when I plug in the passenger seat (the driver has 2 connectors because of memory) it does Na-Da. Checked #36 relay and played with connection. No problems before and the seat is in the full forward position so the wife has to stay at home (no jokes). Help???

sounds like the connection to the switch on the seat isn't good

Solved and Fixed
Well, I suppose after tugging, pulling, etc. I had pulled an orange lead loose but not visibly. Got it re-connected and boom...works like a charm. Thanks for any and all input.

Fixed my non working c5 sport seat that was stuck in the rearward most position.
after trying sockets I found I WAS able to get a 15mm wrench on the nuts on the rear of the track (not easy, but I have small hands which surely helped) and little by little got the nuts removed. I’d taken out the drivers seat 2x, once to replace the bushing that caused the sliding back and forth, then again last year to replace the seat foam and lumbar bladders. So, I was comfortable with removing the seat and had read all the threads on this site about possible causes. After removing the seat and looking underneath it, I FOUND the issue. Tucked up under the seat there was a red connector (about 2” wide) that had come apart. BINGO! I put the seat back in, after vacuuming the area, and wala, I have a fully operational passengers sport seat again. Persistence at trying to remove those nuts paid off. I’ll NEVER leave that seat in the full rearward position again.

It's a two year old thread.
