Limited to 52% Throttle! Help!
Hello, fixing up a recently acquired 1997 C5 with an Auto. Bone stock, car wouldn't rev past 4,200rpm. Figured maybe it was just the potato factory settings or something of the sorts. Tune it (EFI-LIVE) and add an intake. To my surprise, still only shifts at 4,200rpm. Go back and fourth a few times with my tuner attempting different things and no luck. So, I decide to toss an obd2 logger on and find out that the throttle is only opening 48%-52% when WOT. From here I assumed it must be a fault TAC, order one online and have it overnighted. Toss in the the TAC unit tonight with high hopes, quickly squashed when yet again car will not shift past 4,200rpm. Where do I go from here, looking to throw as few a parts as possible at this thing.
