Ambient temp sensor problem
Sensor normally always reads 69 and that causes no problem but when it goes to -14, my ac will not come on. only heat in South Texas when outside temps are in the 90's

I believe in the Beer Fairy
moving to C5 Tech
the sensor underneath by the radiator (right front) is bad, connection is loose/bad
try removing it, cleaning and plugging back in
I will try and find the reset procedure for the unit too and post it here

Check the connector and wiring. The sensor isn't connected to the control unit.

Is there a second connection between sensor and control unit other than where sensor plugs near radiatior passenger side that I can check?

ok, sounds dumb but.....have you tried disconnecting the neg battery cable for 5 minutes and reconnecting
many things on the C5 will reset when you do this when all else fails
