I've been using the DieHard Platinum in all 3 of our vehicles since I read the stellar reviews on here. Now that these aren't available what are we using now? Don't mind spending the money on the top tier stuff...but it needs to come with a fairly decent free replacement period.
I went with a Yellow top. Only had for about a year but no complaints. I replaced a red top of unknown age as it was in the car when I bought it. It was at least 7 years+ though.
Interested in this also. I too have a DieHard Platinum Battery in my C5 - been going strong for 7+ years but some day it will need replacement.
WOW, that's really good for any Corvette battery. Last time I shopped, they weren't available, so I went with first a Red top POS, and now a yellow top that seems to be much better.
Red Top for the last year. So far, going strong. Wanted an AGM battery just for added safety with it sitting about fancy electrical stuff (new technical term).

I've had two Red Tops before - the first lasted better than 7 years and was still going strong when I sold the car. The second one was installed in my current car by the original owner and right after the three year mark it went bad. Kind of mixed reviews for me on the Red Tops.

Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!

Odyssey or Northstar, both manufactured in Missouri. Odyssey is in Warrensburg and Northstar in Springfield.
As you know JD, the Die Hard Platinums were previously being manufactured for Sears by Enersys Corp (parent company of Odyssey). No longer.
Northstar is a European (Swedish) owned worldwide manufacturer of UPS, industrial, and transportation batteries.
Northstar NSB AGM34/78 880 CCA, RC 134 mins
Odyssey 34/78-PC1500 850 CCA, RC 135 mins
Both are excellent, premium, pure lead technology AGMs. Shop around, prices vary.
Spec for spec comparison, the Die Hard Platiinum and the Odyssey PC 1500 are the same. Sears gave a much better warranty however. My Platinum is 10 years old and has no trouble starting the car even if it has sat for 3 weeks or so.
In terms of regular batteries, I am having good luck with Walmart Maxx - have then in two other vehicles. They last and have plenty of power to spin up the motor in the depths of winter.
Car batteries in the US are made by only a few actual manufacturers, but labelled and sold under various names. When the Platinum goes, I will definitely replace it with another AGM battery. My OEM Delco split and dumped its acid, and I don't need to go through that again, as the battery sits on top of a bunch of electronics.

The PO installed a 800 CCA Walmart Maxx Everstart group 78N battery in the car before I bought it. It has a three year free replacement warranty. After hearing all the horror stories about acid spills and the resulting electrical problems, I will most likely swap to a AGM battery once this one starts to show its age. I have used AGM in several other cars and never had any issues with them - you just have to make sure you use the correct charger with them.

For a really good warranty look at the Interstate batteries at COSTCO.....
4 years, no questions asked, just take in the old battery and walk out with a brand new one. I have had no problems with these batteries and have them in all my cars.
