C5 Wheel Alignment
Hi everyone, I have a 98C5. Just got a new set of tires and lowered her down. Im going to the dealership for a four wheel alignment Friday morning. Does any one have any info. I might need as far as settings etc.
Some say sit in the car, full tank of gas, on and on. What should be done? Thanks

Your Chevy dealer will have the alignment specs, so you don't need to provide them. If you are running runflat tires, you should stay with the base C5 alignment specs. If you have non-runflat tires, I would go with the Z06 alignment specs. I think it makes sense to have the gas tank full, especially if you aren't in the car.
There is a tolerance around each spec, plus or minus some amount. If you're paying for a basic alignment, they'll stop once the measured value is within the tolerance. If you want them to get closer to the optimum value, they'll usually ask you to pay by the hour for the time it takes them. You need to decide if this is worth it to you or not.

Sitting in the car would be ideal, but most places won't let you do it. If you don't race the car (primarily a highway driver), have them take out as much neg camber as possible, in order to save your front tires from premature wear.
