C5 starts to stall under hard braking

An ideas why my C5 starts to stall under hard braking. Noticed this morning when I had to slam brakes any ideas why

I'd start by checking the brake booster and also checking the vacuum to the booster from the back of the manifold.

Do you have an auto or manual transmission? If manual, did you apply the clutch during the hard stop?
