2997 Corvette Grind in First Gear
1997 corvette manual 6 speed. There is a grind underneath when I put load on clutch in first gear only. No grind if clutch is let out slowly in first with no load. However, if using on a hill and giving gas while clutch still partially engaged it is aike a grind almost scrape sound. No issues with gears and clutch works fine. All gears are fine to include reverse. Only does this in first under load. As car warms it gets worse. Any thoughts.

How many miles are on the clutch? Is it a factory clutch? Do you have any chatter with it?
My guess with that little bit of info is that you are hearing the clutch on the flywheel or throw out bearing. Just a guess tho. Can you get a video of the noise?

With 110k miles on a clutch it's at the end of it's life. Has it ever slipped on you? If you take off the mid pipe there is an access plate on the bottom of the bell housing. You can inspect from there. It's a pain tho and hard to see into. My guess is that you are hearing the clutch slip or the throw out bearing.
