Last day, my car ( a 1997 corvette C5 ) started to react in a funny-scary way .
Lucky me, I was just few miles away from the car shop where I use to go .
I do not remember exactly the codes but it was a MAF problem with a 5V missing from the PCM module .
After looking at this module, they figure out that the battery leaked on it and we could see some corrosion .
We are trying, since, to rebuilt the PCM ( but nobody wants to do it ), or to find another one .
But it looks that the 97 model is kind of unique and no way to find a replacement . Nothing on internet, ebay or at GM .
Just asking if somebody has a lead to find one ( model 16232148 or 19143656 . ACDELCO part 218-12290 ) ?
Or is it possible to adapt a newer version ?
I know that the cabling is not the same . Is it possible to find some adapter from the 97 harmless to another one ?
