Anyone recognise this? It uses a black metal band to secure the connection. I have this on a C5 I just bought. Can anyone ID it?
Is it compatible with a stock OEM master cylinder? The connection popped apart on me last weekend. Just making sure it is supposed to all work together.
I believe that is an aftermarket slave. The factory slave uses a quick connect that you need push in to release. I have seen the aftermarket ones that use the black metal clip that you are referring to. I tried one and did not like it - ended up changing it out for a factory unit.
The black clip that is used to release the hose came loose. Had it happen several times. I could get under the car and put it back together and it would be fine for a while.
I bought mine at Oreillys because I needed one in a hurry and that was available. I ended up taking it back to Oreillys for a full refund and bought a GM slave from the local dealership. And I'm sure you know - changing out the slave means pulling the full rear drivetrain.
