I purchased the Hurst line lock, and am getting ready for the install. I have checked the archives in CF and seen many pictures but my set-up is different. I don't see the unit under the master cylinder. My line goes from the Master cylinder directly to a box between the motor and radiator. I assume this is ABS or A/H or both??? Where does the line lock go, between where???
the line lock and associated piping replaces the forward line running from the proportioning valve to the ABS block, reardless of the type of Line Lock (Hurst or TCI)
Am I missing something? I do not have a proportioning valve under the Master Cylinder. The lines go directly from the MC to the box between the motor and radiator.... I am assuming this box is the ABS/AH????
Did something change in the 02. :smash:
Anyone familiar with what I am looking at?
 I see you beat me to it! Just follow your line back from the ABS unit and see what lines control the front brakes........( running to the garage )........... OK.....on my ABS unit ( the one between the engine and the radiator) the top, most forward line is the one that controls the front brakes. Follow that line to your master cylinder and install the line-lock somewhere in there.

Sent you an e-mail. I have done a couple, and can probably help with the differences in the brake systems & fittings.
I would guess the proportioning valve must be in the AB/AH unit. On mine the front brake line comes out of the rear of the Master cyl. You need to make sure you get the line that goes to the front, but your AB/AH unit looks different than mine. Maybe someone can check the service manual. I would not cut the stock line(save it to go back to stock), but buy two new 3/16 steel lines with 3/8 inverted flare fittings on each end(or get the kit from summit), then buy two adapters to convert 3/8 inverted flare to 12mm Bubble Flare.
Here's some part #s:
The linelock goes between the MC and the ABS/AH unit. I bought the weatherhead 7974 from NAPA, and brake lines, sounds like I can get started. Thanks for the help everyone. I don't know if I will start today or Sunday afternoon, I will post results.
My '99 'vette has the Active Handling upgrade on it. Does that upgraded system change the braking layout in such a way that a Hurst Roll Control line lock wouldn't work in my application? I need one terribly bad.
