Default LS2 in a C5?
I have an 04 C5 and the valve covers say the motor is an LS2. How can I tell for sure? Were there any LS2s installed in 04s at the factory. The car is low mileage and mint so I can't imagine the motor has been replaced....

Answered in general, no LS2 in a C5 from the factory

If it is a LS2 you maybe able to see 6.0 cast into the front passenger side of the block below the water pump ports.
