Default Indoor/outdoor thermometer?

I have two other vehicles that have Indoor/outdoor thermometers and I sure miss having one in the Vette.
Has anyone added an Indoor/outdoor thermometer in their C5?
If so,
1. what kind/brand/cost/vendor?
2. where did you mount the readout unit?
3. where did you mount the interior and exterior sensors?

Whoa - I did not know that. I've only had mine a week today, and haven't found any readout. I guess I need educated - is there a readout off the dash "gauges" button?

If you have the base three-**** AC, you don't have a readout.

Play junkyard GM legos and get a rearview mirror with the temp display and the sensor and wire it in.

I have a '04 with the exterior temp display within the HVAC; did the earlier C5's have a different HVAC with no temp display?

Same control unit used from 97 through 04 for the automatic system. The manual system doesn't have the readout.

Man, you guys really have this newbie confused.

I have an '02, auto trans convertible. The H/AC dash panel has 3 ***** - one for fan control, one for temp control (blue to red), and one for air outlet position. I find nothing else that would show an outside or inside temperature readout.

So, it looks like digitaloutsider is correct, unless various options were available in regard to the H/AC unit controls on various models.

If you have a readout, please post a photo of it and tell us what year you have, transmission, and model (coupe, convertible, Z06) and if you know if it was an option.

Here's a photo of mine I took when it was really hot outside.
Whether you have this display or not depends on which AC/heat system you have - my 2000 A4 has the dual control for driver and passenger, yours doesn't.

Thanks mrlmd.
That makes more sense, So I assume there were options. At least one question was answered.

So, other than adding a salvage yard mirror with a thermometer, and going back to my original question - is there anyone that has added thermometer (see original post)?
