I got in my car this morning and put the key in and the seat did not return to my position. I did not think anything of it and started it up and pressed the number 1 on the memory seats. Nothing happened. I pressed number 2 (beacuse I am the only driver #1 and #2 are set them same) and still nothing happened. I adjusted my seat myself and reset the memory. I then reached up to turn the radio to a different setting and all my radio settings were gone. Anyone know what is going on here??? How to fix it???
this is what i did, i first got out of the car to give myself ample stretching room, after about 3 minutes of stretching and cursing out GM i started kicking the seat until i couldn't feel my foot anymore... turns out this did not work so after regaining feeling in my foot and kicking it one more time i took it to the dealer :)

I'm still fairly new to C5's, so I could be totally off here, and this could be old news... From what I can tell, you have to be in the car with the door shut BEFORE you insert the key in the ignition. Additionally the 2 keyfobs retain the 2 different memory settings. I had problems the first few weeks until I realized that the 2 keyfobs allowed for 2 different memory settings :conehead :conehead Also, if the door is open and I put the key in the ignition, it does nothing for the memory settings.
