Default Vararam questions

Hey, so I'm looking into getting the Vararam VR-2B for my 1999, and I wanted to ask do I need to buy the "power duct" the plastic piece that connects the air cleaner portion of the VR-2B to the MAF and throttle body? If I can use my stock one I would rather not buy the extra part and save the money.

Has anyone tried or been successful at doing this?....Or do you have a better CAI that you suggest over the Vararam?

Thanks for the help.

You do not need to purchase the power duct. The Vararam will install onto the factory air bridge (that's the term for the intake piece that goes over the radiator shroud).

Oh thanks for the terminology help. That's perfect it way cheaper and I don't mind having the badge right now... do you have one by any chance? If you do, do you like it?

I do not have an aftermarket air bridge because none of them actually do anything over OEM. The only time a redesigned air bridge or aftermarket unit of any sort may see some functionality is in a boosted application (ex: cold side of piping from turbocharger to intake).
