Default Weatherstripping help

I am putting the weatherstripping on that goes from door to door behind the targa top. I got the front lip in but am having trouble with the back lip. Does anyone have any tips on how to get the back lip in? I am afraid to use a flat blade for fear of tearing the new weatherstripping. Thank you!
