2004 C5 - Interior Switched 12V Hot?
I need to pickup a switched (key on) 12 volt hot and wanted to ask for suggestions on where to get at it. My car is a 2004 so it doesn't have the two hot leads on the passenger's side.
I can always tap in under the steering column, but wanted to ask for input before I go randomly tapping (and then someone says "oh, you should have used ____").

I recently did an aftermarket head unit install in my 04 and needed a switched 12V source. I bough a fuse tap and tapped fuse #11 in the passenger foot well fuse box. That is the same fuse that the earlier year C5's had for the switched 12V that was available with the blunt cut ends. (Accessory Power) Fuse #11 is 20A so if you need a smaller amp draw you should put an additional fuse of appropriate size before the load you will be powering.
