2004 engine and trans harness compatible with 2002 car?

Someone more qualified may have a better answer, but here's my thoughts...
I once tried to swap a 2001 manual transmission harness into a 1998,
and it was a huge PITA... For starters the connectors up front were way totally different and by no means "Plug N' Play".
With a set of wiring diagrams, some splicing and a whole lot of patience it would have been possible to make it work... Instead I decided to buy the EXACT same harness from the same year vehicle with the same options and it worked like a charm!
If there haven't been any engine or transmission changes from 2002 to 2004 (sensors, sensor locations, MAF or anything else), it may a be just a direct swap.
Check to see if they have the same Part Numbers (maybe your Chevy dealer can look it up) and that would probably be a good start?

Yea In F Bodys 98 was a different deal all
together from 99-02, vettes are a bit different also. I know 97/98 is different but I also believe 99-01 is different from 02-04 but I just want to make sure it wasn’t 99-02 that shared harnesses
