Default C6 Diff to C5 T56

There's spotty info available for this. I am adding up what it would cost to build my 3 rib diff and spare trans. When looking at the mounts, already buying a new LSD, etc etc.

I'm thinking of buying a cheap C6 diff housing, having the C5 gear set machined to 30 spline (would have gone this route regardless) Using my Eaton LSD and gears in the C6 housing and bolting it to my C5 T56.

I'm under the impression that i'll need:

C6 Cradle $100
Offset Diff mounts $325
Tail extension $500 (unless I can find used)
Coil overs if keeping C5 control arms ~1K

If I go this route I save a bit over the Diff brace and hoosier mount. Coil overs were eventually on the agenda too unless I find a whole rear for dirt. Cost works out to about the same in my head since I'm already going through the trans and diff. This gives me a much safer setup.

Is there anything else i'm missing?

Anyone? More research leads me to believe that with the C6 T56/Diff setup in the C5 requires offset mounts, but a C6 tube can be used with stock C6 mounts. Can anyone confirm?

The C6 torque tube create several problem. It sends the diff into the floorboard storage area requiring cutting the storage area out.

Thanks, I read that a while back and forgot about it. So then with a C5 TT and the rest I covered in the OP I should be fine correct?

I am not certain but seem correct. If I were doing to the swap, I would buy some parts from RPM or RTK and ask them to be sure nothing is left out.

Thanks but I'm assembling everything myself. I'm sure they both have quality offerings but I'm cheap.
