Hey guys. So while I was trying to figure out my epectrical nightmare, I found this yellow wire in the rocker panel area which reminded me of the yellow wire I saw when I did my. Trans swap. So I decided to do some inspecting. Found this cluster. Theres no way this is factory? I didn't upload all my pics, but they wired it next to the torque tube and tucked it up with the brake lines. It runs along the top of the torque tube/exhaust seperating plate and then goesinto the wiring loom and back out. Not sure if it tees back into the factory wire in the loom or not, but I'm guessing the speedo wasn't working? It goes into pin 7y of connector C1 to the PCM. Which is VSS signal High. Does someone know the factory wiring route for this wire? I'm going to redo it cuz it bugs me. Thanks!
Holy snikiees, that is some serious crud and corrosion on those wiring blocks. Maybe start there!
Yup! Looks like this car suffered from a leaking battery like many others. That pcm is a refurbished one too... As far as replacing those connectors, that's not a task I'm familiar with. Didn't know that could even be done? Thats a question for another time though I suppose, unless someone reading this knows?
