The EBCM (?) appears to be emit a loud and prolonged sound (sounds like an electronic motor running) after every drive. I get no error codes and both the active handling and ABS appear to be functioning correctly.
Are you sure it is coming from that area in front of the engine? The air pump for the secondary air injection system is located in the left front of the car. Maybe it is running when it shouldn't be.
If it is a motor running in the ABS system it would have to be the one in the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve which the EBCM is fastened to.

Bill
Thx Bill. I recently replaced all four wheel hubs (Detroit Axle)... and the problems started after the replacement. Computer started throwing ABS and Active Handling Error Codes and I got the "noisy motor" sound from the EBCM area of the car. Upon inspection... all wheel hubs tested OK on my ammeter. Nonetheless, I suspected the front passenger side wheel hub was a problem... so I replaced it (with a Timken)... and the error codes went away... but the motor sound (only after vehicle shut off) did not go away. The motor runs about 10-15 seconds (only) after the car has been driven.
NOTE: I sent the EBCM out to ABSFixer a few years ago. Did a great job. To ensure that the EBCM wasn't the issue, I pulled it and sent it to Brandon to re-test. Was told the EBCM is "fine" and worked flawlessly in his vehicle (he tested it for a few days).
I agree with Bill, maybe it's the air injection pump running. Could be the headlamp motor running as well. I would try to listen closely for the noise while someone else shuts the car off. Maybe put your hand on the ebcm and feel for a vibration while the noise occurs. Of course don't be stupid and burn yourself or put your hand in the belt.
