Since I've bought this car about 6 months ago i have noticed a drivetrain noise. It has gotten worse as time has gone on and is finally at a point its seriously starting to bother me. I tried to make a video that captures the sound as best as i can. It is worse when the car is cold, but still happens when warm. It is a rattle that sounds like it is coming from the rear of the engine, maybe a little further back (i would guess torque tube area). It is most noticeable when driving in first gear and letting off the gas coasting to a stop or slowing down to turn.
Any help is appreciated, check the link to the youtube video below.
Could be your exhaust rattling, could be heat shield related stuff. Get under the car with it on (safely) and poke around. If it's coming from the bell housing, you'll probably be looking at a pilot bearing, throw-out bearing, torque tube coupler, or torque tube bearing - any of which usually mean you're doing a clutch job.
A while back, I had a noise....thought it was the torque tube.....with further investigation, turned out to be a wheel bearing. Sometimes they test ok but are not.
