Dorman ls2 intake - parts needed 2004 Z06
Thinking about going Dorman to replace the LS6 intake. 2004 Z06. Mild porting to clean things up.
Intake
3 bolt to 4 bolt adapter
MAP relocation kit
Shave rear pillar down to fit
Questions:
Where does the brake booster line go to on the Dorman?
Do the steam lines need to be relocated?
Thanks IA!

Because I believe the power steering reservoir is in the way.
I'm having a hell of a time trying to find a three bolt throttle body adapter to a 90mm intake adapter. Found an MSD one, but the specs indicate that its for a 102 MM intake. Any guidance is appreciated!

3 bolt to 4 bolt adapter-Get a ls2 TB it's a 90mm opening thats why you are upgrading
MAP relocation kit-http://www.casperselectronics.com/ca...product_id=494
Shave rear pillar down to fit- You shave the manifold down in the rear where the map sensor would go.
Questions:
Where does the brake booster line go to on the Dorman? Same place as the stocker but you will need a t line for the hvac lines.
Do the steam lines need to be relocated? I didn't have to do anything to mine.
Thanks IA!

I used this as a guide

Also you have to flip the TB if you get a ls2 tb so you will need a maf extender
Are you talking about this adapter? they are all over the place.

I put a Dorman intake on my 2000 LS1 a few months ago , for now I'm using the stock throttle body but I bought a really nice 3 to 4 bolt adapter from ICT Billet for a very reasonable price , comes with everything , bolts & o-rings , they also have all the wiring pigtails & adapters , I've bought several other things from them since , everything very high quality , great prices ! I had no luck with putting the stock steam crossover under the Dorman , even with their "buttonhead" bolts supplied, felt like it was holding the manifold up to high to me , didn't even try tightening it , I ended up getting a very nice braided nylon 4an Trick Flow (brand) setup I bought from Summit , search for "LS steam crossover" they have several different ones , ICT Billet does also. I also installed a Texas Speed 224 R Cam , CAI , 25% underdrive pulley 1 7/8 longtubes , 3"catless X-pipe Z06 titanium axleback , Texas Speed mail order tune. This Car RIPS ! Taking it in for a fine tune on the Dyno soon , I'll put the results up when I get them.

This Dorman intake was a last second decision for me. My plan was to run the GM truck rear coolant crossover, but test fitting last night, the Dorman intake hits the crossover. Not sure if i'll be able to bend the crossover any. Otherwise I may be going with the Trickflow steam vent kit. I had wanted it initially but the truck crossover is much more economical.

My 2001 doesn't have the rear steam vents but I was adding them. For folks with the LS1 style factory 4 corner vent lines, they seem to have mixed results smashing them down... which also seems like they would be less effective. So my guess would be that if you want a guaranteed solution, something like the Trickflow kit would be pretty good.
It may be a week or more before I'm back in the garage, but if I can tweak the GM truck crossover to work with the Dorman, I'll post up.

Bill Curley has posted where he ran the 01+ front on the rear, others have used a truck front cross over on the rear. Google image search is a good place to start.
