Default Torque Tube HELP!

Hey guys, new to the corvette scene and I am struggling with this torque tube issue. I have re-searched for a similar problem and cannot find anything similar. Little background on my car, its a 2004 c5 that I bought as a roller, came with everything but a engine. I have installed a ls1 with a ls7 clutch, flywheel and installed a new pilot bearing. Now to the problem, I could not get the torque tube dowls lined up with the bell housing to begin with. I could get the input shaft to go through the clutch splines and start into the pilot bearing but the dowls would be off slightly. I was finally able to get them close enough to the holes to line up and start 2 bolts. I then proceeded to pull the torque tube up using the bolts until it sat flush on the bell housing, I then tried to spin the engine over by hand and it would not spin over. (I am installing the torque tube by itself and not with the transmission bolted to it.) I then pulled the torque tube back out and anticipated finding the pilot bearing destroyed or something but everything looked ok, and I was still able to install my clutch alignment tool effortlessly. I have noticed that when spinning the shaft inside the torque tube it seems to have some runout, but I have seen and read where that is normal? Do any of you guys have any ideas on what is going on? I have a video of the input shaft showing the runout that I can post up if someone would like to take a look. Thanks in advance.

Try loosening bolts that attatch torque tube to bell housing. Then try mating to motor. After mated tighten bell housing to torque tube bolts then bell housing to block bolts. Let us know.

Pull the TT again and see if you can turn the engine by hand without the TT attached...

I had already pulled the torque tube and verified the engine would spin fine without it installed. I loosened the bell housing to block bolts and re-installed torque tube, the dowls lined up much better this way. I then tightened all the bolts back up and engine spun over fine. I guess it wasn't perfectly aligned. Thanks guys
