I have a 2002 Coupe that I'd like to add long-tube headers to. My exhaust is NOT stock and I'm needing clarity on exactly what parts I need other than the headers themselves. My current set up is a Borla X-pipe with Borla Stingers so I have stock headers and factory cats still in tact. If I go long-tube on the headers, can I still use my Borla X-pipe? All upgrades are recent as I initially thought I'd be happy with just X-pipe and muffler upgrade but I want more. What else do I need to buy exhaust wise that won't interfere with my current set-up? My exact upgraded parts are:
Borla X-Pipe 60087 and Borla 140017
**I live in Colorado if that matters for emissions? Give me some feedback please fellas. Budget is fairly open; I already have about $900 in my Borla but wouldn't mind dropping another $1,000 or so.
I pieced mine together years ago buying used from the parts for sale section and my Bassani LT’s mounted right up to the magnaflow Xpipe, which mounted right up to the Borla straights I had already installed

You're going to need a new midpipe to go with long tubes, the Borla one is only the back half of the midpipe. Most new long tubes kits come with a new midpipe unless you go with a really cheap brand. I would opt for a catted one in order to pass emissions easily.
All you need to buy is a quality set of headers that includes the x-pipe, and you'll probably want cats. Most will come with clamps, O2 extenders, and will bolt right up to your Stingers. Then you'll be able to sell the Borla x-pipe in the classified section here.
Would going with shorties allow me to use my current set-up? I realize the performance gains are less but with shorties all I would need is the headers correct?

Just keep the stock manifolds... all that work and money for maybe 5-10?
