Default Headlights

I noticed last night that after I turned off my headlights the left one failed to stay down. It just goes down and cones right back up about 3/4s of the way. The beam goes off but the light assembly remains open. It did this about 2 weeks ago but I found that one of the pivot bolts had loosened which allowed it to twist out of shape. I just loosened the nut and bolt applied some blue “lock-tite, aligned it back up, tightened, good as new. This time I found bolts and nuts tight, but found one of the “2” nylon stoppers was damaged. The one the stops the assembly from going to far down, there’s also one that stops it from opening to far. It’s square, white, hard nylon “like a stabilizer bushing “ less than half the size of a postage stamp.
I need one, dealer wants to sell me a whole assembly for several hundred dollars, said you can’t buy the bushing. Does anybody know where I can buy a two dollar nylon bushing. Surly this has accrued to someone else, how did you solve it? I guess I could find some nylon part and try and whittle one out of it, but I’d rather have the right part. Thoughts helpful.
Thanks, Bob

I need one...
This is a known issue. As you found out, your rubber bump stops need to be replaced.

I would replace all rubber bump stops (4 per side - 2 for "Close" and 2 for "Open"). You can order them from Rodney Dickman here.

Also, there is a TSB regarding this issue, that calls for shimming the driver's side motor.
