Howdy all, hoping someone can help me out. I'm interested in putting a set of C5 front brakes on my '87. I know about the needed adapters and so forth and am almost ready to chase a set. However, one last piece to check off, I just bought some 18x9.5 wheels. I was able to get a used brake bracket and adapters and test fitted those, but I don't have a caliper. Issue is, they are awfully close to the rim, matter of mms.
Given this, really need to try an actual caliper in place as well. I'd rather not buy a set and have to return right away. Any one have a stock front, basic caliper from 98-2002ish C5 that I could borrow for a week? It only needs to have some pins, the rest of it can be junk. I just need to check the size and spacing, see if it will fit my new wheels.
Appreciate if someone could help me out. I'm in Des Moines, Iowa if it matters. Thanks in advance.
I've never been turned down for a return by either with a receipt and less than 30 days old. Especially if they come with a lifetime warranty. There is no special packaging that I have seen for calipers and if you don't modify them or get them really dirty then you shouldn't have an issue. You are just testing fitting with rims right?
