Default A/c not blowing cold air.

I have a 2001 LS1 and the a/c has quit working. I drained the Freon out of the system, did a vacuum and added 2 cans of Freon. The compressor is running and there is no leaks. Maybe there is a valve that needs replacing and I am sure the dryer needs to be replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You didn't mention your pressures before doing what you did and after. We need to know what your current pressures are (both, high and low sides).

Take a look at this post. It has detailed instructions to check/add refrigerant.

-These are the CliffsNotes:

Check your pressures against the chart below. Make sure you take your readings with:
 • Engine @ 2000 rpm
 • A/C in coldest setting
 • Fan at maximum speed
 • Both windows down
 • Thermometer in center air vent

When adding refrigerant, pay attention to both pressures, otherwise you might end up with the high side sky-high trying to get the low side to the chart's value.

Let us know how it goes.

Have you pulled the DIC codes to see if you have a BXXXX code that may indicate that your blend door actuators are FUBAR?

If you added 2 cans and the compressor is running you should at least have cool air on the passenger side. Check the codes and use the DIC to get corvette specific codes.

Sorry for not replying sooner. I have no codes except for the TCM C1214 and I know what it takes to fix that. I cannot check my pressures at the moment as my high side hose burst and I have another on order. The low side line where freon goes in doesn't get cold at all unless freon is going in the valve and even then there is no cold air blowing inside the car. As soon as my hose comes in, I will check the pressures.

Let's wait for the hose so we can have some numbers. Hopefully the pressure values will help us in the troubleshooting process.

Got the red high side hose in today. Ambient temp 72. Low side pressure 22. High side pressure 130. This was done @ 2k rpm. No way to measure vent temp. I have bought a new accumulator/ dryer and orafice tube.

Any idea of how was the humidity, ballpark figure?

Anyways, even without knowing the humidity, it seems pressures are a little low. Did you try to add refrigerant to get pressures closer to the target values in the chart?

I drained the system when I first started. Pulled a vacuum to -15 lbs and added one can of freon. The only thing that got cold was where the freon went into the low side line. Only hot air inside the car. The next day I added another can. Same thing happened. Everything was working fine until I had to pull the intake manifold to replace the oil pressure sensor which I have done twice. I either have a major leak or blockage.

I reconnected that PITA hose. All vents are working properly.

This was a key element, but it wasn't mentioned before.

Glad your vents are working fine again

As mentioned before, even without knowing the relative humidity, it seems the system is still a little low on refrigerant and it's underperforming.

For example, at 60%/relative humidity and ambient temperature of 70°F your target values are:
Low Pressure -> 30
High Pressure -> 180
Center Vent Temp -> 48°F

Although not essential, a thermometer will give you a better idea of the A/C system health. You can get
one of these one of these
for around 5 bucks:
