Default Interior lights

Just bought my first Vette, a 2003 convertible. While familiarizing myself with everything I found that the map lights in the rear view mirror and the lighted mirrors on the visors don’t work. The curtesy lights in the foot wells do work. Don’t find a fuse for just these. Any ideas?

You must be a genius! I just now read your post, checked and replaced the blown fuse. Thanks for your speedy answer!

Good time to thank you myself. I read a previous similar post of yours about fuse #2 when I was trying to find out why my auto dim didn’t work along with the other features you listed above. Sure enough it was blown. The owner’s manual isn’t exactly clear about #2s purpose, so without your input, I was stumped. So thanks!!

Interior courtesy lamps are controlled by a light sensor. They only come on if it is dark enough outside or if you turn the instrument panel brightness **** all the way clockwise. Doing that LOCKS them on and they will stay on and run the battery down unless you turn the **** back counter clockwise until you hear a click (turns then off).
more good info I wasn’t aware of. Thanks!

where ever that light sensor is, mine must be broken because they don't come on at night. i haven't tried to see if they turn on by turning the panel brightness ****.

drudging up an old thread/topic...

Been playing around with the map lights for my '03Z and now they stay on and won't turn off. The instrument panel brightness **** is turned all the way counter-clockwise. Any words of wisdom is appreciated.

Figured it out.

The light switches on the mirror were on the ON position so the map lights would stay on for the 15 mins then shut off. Turned the switches to the other position and that fixed the issue. Light comes on when door opens, then shut off right away if the passenger door was opened, or about 1 minute if the driver door was opened.
