Trans problems caused by mass air flow sensor
Do any of you know whether a problem with the mass air flow sensor can cause the transmission to prematurely wear out? Loose a gear?
A month ago the trans started acting up again, took it back and went for a ride with one of the techs and with a computer hooked to OBDII he could see it wasn't making 1-2 shift again. He suspected a solenoid or servo. I picked the car up yesterday, they had to do a rebuild again, said 2nd and 3rd were gone? They did not charge me for the rebuild but did install a new MAP sensor and said there was some info that these could cause trans problems but couldn't prove that it did in this case, just doing it as a precaution.
When I got home I searched for this kind of problem. I found the article at the link below. There are more articles concerning Chevy vehicles, just wondered if anyone else had experienced this.

I show no codes with the PCM. A few door control issues only.
I did have an engine check light come on the day before putting it up for the winter however it didn’t show when I started it up a few weeks ago.
