Good Afternoon to all, First question is there is a gap between the Targa top and the weather stripping of about the thickness of the car key when on. is there a fix with out changing all the weather stripping? Question # 2, Every time i go to the dealer for a repair they inform me that i am out of alignment. They put all of the cars on a alignment machine when they come in. Is this right that a 99 vette could be out of alignment in just 1500 or do you think is just a ploy to make money?

Ask for a copy of the printout from the alignment machine. If it is out in just 1500 miles then likely the adjustment bolts weren't properly torqued or alignment was not set right the last time. Dealers are always out to make money, it is their job.

I’d take that DMV printout to the nearest dealer and tell them to fix it. Then I’d take the dealer alignment printout with me back to the DMV for a re-inspection Good Luck.
I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee, as a "2nd vehicle", therefore I deal with the local Chrysler dealer, on occasion. I seem to recall that they had installed some sort of "drive-over" device in the floor of the reception area of the service department. I'm not making any accusations, but I have a feeling that this device can be "tweaked" to get any desired result they want, in order to sell front end alignments.....
Asking for a printout for proof the alignment is bad will solve nothing. They can very easily just push on the tire/wheel to get it in the red and hit print.
