Opening Convertible top boot
I just installed a new battery in my 01 corvette, but not sure if that has anything to do with the problem since I have not put the top down in a while. I was attempting to lower the convertible and lift the hard boot by depressing the button under the corner (driver's side), but it would not release the lid. Any suggestions? Could there be a fuse to this?

Couple possibilities. Open the trunk and then close it solidly. Vert top cover cannot be released if the trunk is not properly closed. Mine often won't open but opening trunk and solidly closing it usually cures the symptom.
There is a fuse #17 in the passenger foot well fuse box for "tonneau release". Check it.
