Default Codes

Hi,
Was looking at purchasing a 98. Reviewed the sticky about purchasing a C5, very helpful and a lot of information. I followed the instruction to gain access to the codes and there were about 18 codes. I was wondering if the codes will reset/disappear once a problem has been corrected. Or are the codes I was seeing still problems on the car and need to be addressed. I didn't get the car, but would like to know for my knowledge. If this question is answered in the sticky, sorry but I didn't see it.
Thanks Bill

No, the codes have to be reset manually. the way the DIC works is all the codes have a suffix of "C" for current, (meaning it has not been addressed) or "H" for historic (code has been addressed) Do you recall seeing a C or H after them?

I wrote all of them down and referred to the list in the sticky, but I don't recall seeing C or H after the numbers.

Thanks Bill
