On cold start-up the smog pump runs for like 4 minutes than shuts off--service guy at dealership said--the pump can come on at anytime the computer commands to--true?
it runs on startup to heat up the cats for emissions ???? worthless !!! I have mine gone and tuned out !!! (much more room under the hood with the junk plumbing gone !!!)
