Another problem with my C5. I bought the Vette late last year with the original wheels. The Vette had a vibration that started at 60 mph and up. Its very slight and pulses. If you drive on a less than ideal road you probably won't notice the vibration. I replaced the wheels and tires with black wheels and non-run flat tires. New shocks have also been installed. The Vette has been checked out at a Chevrolet dealer and the mechanic could find nothing wrong. We then took a ride and he agreed that there was a vibration BUT that it was normal. Something to do with harmonics and frequencies between the tires and the chassis. To be honest I really didn't understand.
Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. The assistance will be greatly appreciated. The vibration slight as it is, is annoying!
Thanks
PS: anybody interested in getting a space-saver style spare tire for a Vette check out: www.modernspare.com They sell a special spare tire kit that works for either the front or the rear in case of a flat. Price is resonable too!
Interesting topic. I ran into the same thing when I first got the car a couple of years ago. 2000 M6 Vert, fwiw. I ended up getting rid of the stock wheels and ancient run flats and got some new C7Z06 wheels with 18"/19" Hankooks. That got rid of 90% of this pulsing vibration, but I can still barely notice it at speed. I brought the car up to a high end place to double check the wheel balancing and they were dead nuts right on the money. So, clearly there is something else at play. My next thought was it could be the torque tube, or something else in the driveline, but I can't see anything obvious. If it gets worse, I'll probably have to dig deeper, but again, interesting topic. I wonder if anyone else successfully chased this further?

I believe its speed. Doesn't start until I reach about 60. Don't notice vibration before then. Even with a fast start from zero for example.
Have you checked the wheel bearings? I had a similar issue on my 2000 FRC and found the front right wheel bearing was bad. replaced them and the vibration disappeared.
I had a vibration at about 70mph. During diagnosis I found it started about 1500-1700rpm in neutral. Looking further, found the water pump was the cause.
