No, but I put a big block Chevy and TH400 in my 1965 C10 truck, with 3.73 rear gears and wish I would have gone overdrive.
You must be drag racing the car, or what's the question?
Also a weird thing I found with TH400 is if I put shifter into 1st gear or Low 1, it will not hold it in first gear, it pops into 2nd while winding it out.
It confused me and my mind thought I shifted into 2nd, then when I wound 2nd out and thought I was shifting into 3 or drive, I was popping it into 2nd and it didn't shift out of 2nd.
Also they take a lot of power to spin, but they are tough transmissions!
