I would like to relocate the battery to the back of the car as to keep my nitrous wiring install clean and easy to manage. Most likely will go with the lingenfelter kit, but I stumbled upon this.
Do you plan to take your car to any SCCA, IHRA or NHRA sanctioned events or tracks? I know in the past if I brought any of my cars to an NHRA track, if you have a relocated battery from the factory location, they require you to have it in a separate sealed box and you must run an external battery shut off switch on the exterior of the car. I believe SCCA and IHRA rules are similar. That is my only concern with a kit like that eBay one. The Lingenfelter one is the way to go IMO.

Which I agree and will most likely go with the Lingenfelter kit. I know people complain about the price, but the time that is vested on their end into the kit, instructions, supplies, etc... is worth the extra 200 dollars or however much.. I always look at it as what is my time worth, and how much of a headache do I want this to be.
And no, the car is mainly a street car and may hit the 1/4 at the end of this season.
The LPE kit is GREAT and definitely the way to go. The brackets are mounted to the frame of the car, every other time I've seen a relocation the box is mounted to the floor and it will rip right off in an accident. There is one problem with the LPE kit that they are supposed to be resolving and that is the grommets for the cables to pass through. IF they can sell you a kit with an UNdrilled box, get it. Buy off the shelf grommets from the hardware store, and drill holes into the body and the box to fit those. It's a long story, but their grommets are an odd, custom size, and they are dry and brittle. Not only that, but the grommets they send now are even larger than the ones in the past. If you drill the holes in the body to fit the old grommets and they give you the larger new ones the holes are too close together. Ask me how I know... lol

Their website shows nothing in stock...
Wondering if they are actually out of stock or not.
I randomly received one like 6 months after discussing over the phone with Tim that I wanted one. At that time he said he did not know when or if ever they would have any again. 6 months later I come home from work and one is on my porch and my card had been charged. lol I was surprised, but didn't mind.
I recommend calling them and asking if it's in stock or not and also asking for a box that HAS NOT been drilled. Just get four off the shelf grommets for a one inch hole at your local hardware store.
Ironically, I had been gathering up everything to copy the LPE kit during that 6 month period. I have everything but the brackets. It's a different box too though, so I don't know that it would fit with their brackets. If you wanted all that stuff I'd make you a deal on it.
at this point I'd keep it "kiss" just get one of the new lightweight Lithium ION battery's and call it good... they last 10 years and you can get a 680 CCA that only weighs 5 lbs or if needed.. a 1000cca for 10-15 lbs... some of them even have a "smart app" that you can put on your phone so that you can monitor things like the charge... check for current draw and even shut down the battery for a even better anti theft...

I will say that after looking at the installation instructions for the Lingenfelter kit, it appears to be very well done. Combine it with a high quality AGM battery and it would be darn near bulletproof.
Yes it would be much easier and quicker to just switch to the ultra lightweight Lithium ion batteries in the stock location - but they are still fairly expensive at around $1K. I would think it would be cheaper, but maybe not as quick or as easy (at least speaking for myself) if the loose nut behind the wheel would loose say 25-30 lbs
