Recent Cometic Gasket Experience?
I just installed PRC Stg 2.5 LS6 heads on my car using the ls1howto writeup. To get better quench I went with .040 MLS Cometics. With my milling (63cc) and head gaskets I'm looking at ~11.15:1 compression. I went to look up some things on CF after I installed the heads and saw some concerning opinions on Cometics, but everything was pretty much pre 2011. Now it's got me worrying that I made the wrong choice. I was very meticulous with the head and block prep, and did my best to torque everything correctly with new GM bolts. Do I have anything to worry about?

You are good to go! I have installed two sets of those very same Cometic .040” gaskets and never any leaks or issues whatsoever. I even reused a pair and no leaks. The key is surface prep. The people who have had leaks more than likely half assed the prep part which is an issue as the Cometics aren’t as forgiving to surface irregularities as the stock gaskets are. It sounds like you did a thorough job so have nothing to worry about.
