Default Help! Oil pressure issue...

2003 Z06 I recently purchased has some issues with oil pressure that scare me.
Car was warm when I bought it, drove several miles down road after buying it and got on a 4 lane so I stood in it through first, grabbed second and near top of second oil pressure fell. I immediately shut engine down and coasted off the road. Checked oil level and it looked good. Cranked car back up and oil pressure was back up. Car seems to run around 25-30psi at idle, 40psi under power when warm. 40psi idle, up to 60+ cold.
The falling pressure issue has happened a few more times since, seems to be directly following hard accelearation. Haven't had to shut car off again bc if it starts to drop I can push clutch in and let it idle and it will climb back up.
Car has a real slight "rattle" on cold start up and between 1500-3000rpm roughly before it gets warm. Can't tell if it's in valvetrain or bottom end, probably because I'm scared of the pressure and keep thinking it's in bottom.
I added 1/2 qt oil to be safe. I'm running Mobil 1 5-30 full synthetic high mileage, car has 135k on it.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

There is a known issue of the oil pressure sending unit that is behind the intake manifold going bad. I would change that out first and see how your oil pressure behaves.

The next possibility would the the oil pump.

I've got another sending unit I bought in glove box. Going to swap it first and see what happens. Dreading it being oil pump
