A/C Compressor question concerning shut off at WOT
I know that when you go WOT with the A/C on that the compressor "shuts off" until you get out of WOT, then it should engage again. Well I had a new A/C compressor installed last fall and now that the it getting hot I'm running the AC and I've noticed that upon going WOT and then back to cruising speeds that my compressor stays OFF afterwards and only after I give the car another blast of WOT then my compressor will kick back on again and start cooling the car. So the WOT is acting more like toggle switch rather then only shutting it down during the WOT time frame.
What could be causing this weird behavior and how can it be fixed?
